Delete your data

Open Instagram, go to Settings, then Apps and websites, and remove Tappy. That revokes our access and tells us to delete what we hold, which happens automatically within a minute. You will be given a confirmation code you can check on this page.

You can also disconnect from the Account page inside Tappy, which deletes the stored access token straight away and pauses every flow.

We hold your Instagram username, the comment that triggered the message, and anything you typed in the conversation, which is usually an email address.

Write to team@gotap.it from any address, telling us the Instagram handle you used. You do not need an account with us and you do not need to explain why. We will delete everything within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

Every conversation, every answer you gave, the lead record holding your email address, and any log entry tied to you. For a connected account it also removes the access token and every flow built with it.

It cannot remove the messages themselves from Instagram, because those live in your inbox and the sender’s, not on our servers. Delete those in Instagram if you want them gone.
